I LOVE THIS SESSION. And yes, in my head, I just shouted that with much excitement. 🙂
Shortly after Christmas, I had the huge privilege of meeting up with my great aunt and uncle…who aren’t nearly old enough to be my great anything, but are great in character and love…and their children and new grandbaby. It was a FREEZING cold day…like truly, it started snowing in the middle (yay!)…but looking back, I think that may have added to some of the fun for me. It’s definitely not ideal for it to be super cold, but it definitely yields high energy (maybe in an effort to stay warm? but probably because these people are just fun!) and LOTS of snuggling! Sounds good to me! Oh, and just an aside…their sweet new baby boy? He was well bundled and only outside for a few minutes. Since this was an extended family session, I treated it like several mini sessions. It was a blast, and I’m just so in love with their images. Can’t wait for you guys to see! So! without further ado….major photo overload! 🙂 ENJOY!! And Bremer Fam: I love you bunches!! Thanks for this awesome day with you!

All together now | Castle Rock Extended Family Photographer » Melissa Yocum Photography[…] One of the things I always love about the holidays is getting together with my family. All of us slowing down and intentionally spending time together warms my heart so. My family is huge…there are a ton of us, both in our immediate family and extended, and we really like each other! So when I get a call from families that are getting together for the holidays and want photos done while they’re here, I’m always try to make it a priority to get these sessions in! What a treasure to have these images grace so many mantels. This time, it was some of my own crew! My Great Aunt Terry and Uncle Tom had their whole crew with them for a few weeks around Christmas, and they came from far and wide! They’ve added 3 new kiddos since the last time I saw them all! […]
