What an honor it was to be a part of this absolutely perfect day!! Seeing these two surrounded by so many that they love so well filled my heart to the brim. Courtney and Micah, we couldn’t be more happy for the two of you!
For Courtney and Micah, the perfect day looked something like an epic backyard barbecue with a wedding in the middle of the party. And with their amazing vendor team, family and friends, it was pulled off perfectly. We started the day with the sweetest first look and portraits so they could spend the rest of the day celebrating.
For guests, the evening started with cocktails and appetizers with the bride and groom.
And then a quick change for Courtney before the ceremony.

Micah & Courtney | In their own words…
How did the two of you meet?
Courtney: In high school – but we really connected when I called him after he wrote his number in my yearbook freshman year!
Micah: We met in high school.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Courtney: All of it?! I loved (what I could see of) Micah’s reaction to the surprise bag-piper. I loved our niece, Ali, singing during the ceremony – which came together really last minute. And I loved walking down the aisle after the ceremony as husband and wife. Oh! And when Micah tried to lay one on me mid-ceremony. It was ALL my favorite!
Micah: The bagpiper surprise!!
Funniest memory from your day?
Courtney: Three of Micah’s friends, all from different avenues of his life (Alex, Waido and Joe Joe), doing an impromptu rendition of Backstreet Boys, “I Want it That Way” for me! I was seriously laughing so hard I was almost in tears.
Micah: My friend Waido chasing the geese during pictures.
What was your favorite detail?
Courtney: I loved the “backyard” feel. It was what we had envisioned all along, but to see it actually come together in the end, just the way we hoped, was perfection!
Micah: Going non-formal.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Courtney: I’d make the whole day longer!!
Micah: I would tell Chris G he didn’t get a plus 1 so don’t bring anyone that will certainly fall down.
Any advice for future brides and grooms?
Courtney: Do your best to take it all in! It goes by way too fast!
Micah: Go with your gut!
Tell me about your honeymoon.
Courtney: We leave on Friday! We are headed to Grenada, to the Sandals Resort. LOVE that we planned the honeymoon for two months after the wedding because it has given us something to continue to look forward to!
Micah: We are spending a week in Grenada! (Courtney will tell you what week! 😉
Courtney: We were PLANNING to take our honeymoon the week of Thanksgiving so Micah would be off school. Well, I didn’t realize Thanksgiving was late this year and booked the entire thing on the WRONG WEEK! So, we leave Friday!
