Abbey was a maid of honor in her sister’s wedding that I had the privilege of photographing years ago, and since then, we were able to catch up when she and Joey were wedding guests and when she was a bridesmaid in a wedding or two. I’ve truly been blessed to be welcomed in to this amazing circle of family and friends! So when Abbey called to say she and Joey were tying the knot and hoped I was available, I was thrilled to be able to say yes!!
They found this gorgeous mountain top wedding venue in Idaho Springs called North Star Gatherings. It’s a newer venue and it did NOT disappoint! Gorgeous view, top of the world feels, and a perfect space with wonderful staff to help pull off your wedding day vision!
The upstairs loft is such a gorgeous and beautifully lit area for the bride and her girls to get ready!
It had rained all morning the day of Abbey and Joey’s wedding and we knew we had at least an hour break before the next showers started, so we went for it and hoped for the best…thanks to a steady breeze the rest of the storms passed us by and made for gorgeous skies!
