Zach loves Jamie | Snow Creek Wedding

We first met Jamie way back when she was starting high school. We were youth pastors back then and she bravely came to one of our events only knowing a handful of people. She was smart and funny, sarcastic and kind. I adored her right from the start. Over time she became a part of our leadership team, and all of those kids were pretty much a part of our family. She was a long time favorite of our boys and a fixture of our lives. Truly one of our favorite people on the planet.

And then Texas STOLE HER. And I was sad.

Alright, that’s a little dramatic. She went off to college…the very college where Cary and I attended and met, and she thrived. She stayed when she became an elementary teacher, and when she visited during breaks, I continually reminded her she had promised to come back…she LOVES Colorado, so I had great faith she meant it. A few years passed (filled with amazing friends and adventures and goals accomplished) and then lo and behold, she met a boy. Not just any boy….a Colorado boy!!

CHEERS from the cheap seats!!

What a complete joy it has been to be a part of their beginning!! I delivered this wedding a few weeks ago and for sure wanted to share it on here too! Here are some of my faves from Zach and Jamie’s wedding!!

They chose the cutest little homestead/farm in Larkspur for their wedding. Snow Creek Ranch was a joy to work with. You’re a good guy Zach!! Couldn’t have chosen better for our Jamie! You were such a beautiful, joy-filed bride, Jamie!!The best crew!! I loved this quiet moment before the ceremony. You’ve got such good friends, Jamie!
Alex from Things Boutique did such a beautiful job of planning, coordinating, decorating and keeping this day together! My couples often ask me what we’ll do if it rains. Thankfully in Colorado, most of our summer storms are fast moving, and this was a perfect example of that. We were all set to start the ceremony when a rain storm moved in cold and fast. The guests who were already mostly seated moved for cover and waited it out, and in about ten minutes it was gone! Seats were dried, guests were seated and the day continued beautifully! If this isn’t one of the truest pictures of you, J.Z & J, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making us a part of your day!! We are so happy for you, and THRILLED you kept your Colorado promise from all those years ago, Jamie! Ha!! Love you big time!!

Zach & Jamie | In their own words…

How did the two of you meet?
We met when two of our best friends set us up… they had been trying to set us up for a while and then had us walk down the isle at their wedding.

What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Getting to have all our favorite people in one place.

Funniest memory from your day?
Having chickens run around during the ceremony.. LOL

What was your favorite detail?
B: The fireplace decor. The indoor/outdoor fireplace was covered in candles, twinkle lights, lanterns, and tree stumps; it was absolutely stunning.
G: I really liked the table for two during dinner. It gave us: 1) time to eat; and 2) some time to ourselves.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
More time to spend with the people we love

Any advice for future brides and grooms?
Don’t worry about the silly small details enjoy the experience.

Tell me about your honeymoon.
We went to the Bahamas and loved being away from the stresses of life for a week and just getting to enjoy time together.
