Eric loves Sara | Colorado Wedding Photographer

Eric and Sara’s wedding day was such a dream, lovely and full of love and charm. Crooked Willow Farms is such a gorgeous venue and was an amazing backdrop to their wedding, but truly, their friends and families were what made their day perfect

Ahhh Sara!! You were SUCH a gorgeous bride!! 😀

I couldn’t believe all of these flowers held on for Sara and Eric’s October wedding!
Such gorgeous bouquets!

Sara and Eric didn’t want to see each other before their ceremony, but they did want to exchange letters to one another. These doors were so perfect for allowing them to be in the same area while reading each other’s thoughts. I loved getting to be a fly on the wall for this intimate moment. Love you guys!!

LOVED their wedding favors!

Watching Eric as he saw Sara for the first time was so amazing. His face was so transparent with excitement, awe, and pure joyful emotion.

Eric & Sara

How did the two of you meet?
E: We met in 2008 in General Chemistry. It took me until the very last class to ask Sara on a date. I told myself over the semester I had to ask her out before the last day of lab. Sara being much smarter than I am, finished her lab final quickly and left. Just as I thought I’d lost my chance, the TA for our lab called Sara back to retrieve some recently graded paperwork. I took that opportunity and the rest is history. It’s really funny to think something as simple as a forgotten graded paper was what brought us together.

What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
E: Signing the marriage license inside the top level of the barn. I’ll never forget it.
S: One of my favorite memories was standing at the end of the aisle with Eric, seeing how genuinely happy he was to see me. Another one was our entrance into the reception…that song, the happiness, the excitement, and all of our loved ones there was amazing.

Funniest memory from your day?
E: Sara telling me about how it was a well orchestrated event to get out of her dress to go to the bathroom.
S: When Eric dropped cake down my dress as we were feeding each other the first piece of cake.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
E: I wish we would have eaten more cake! We only got one bite!!??!! But other than that, I wouldn’t change a thing. Every imperfection and quirk makes that day so special to me. I don’t think it could have been more perfect for us.
S: Nope, I don’t think I would.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?
E: Don’t wait to make decisions later that are just as easily made early.
S: Enjoy the journey! Everyone will give you their opinion, but in the end it matters that you two have fun. For the brides, I think part of this is having the wedding day that you have in your head, or as close as you can come to it! It’s hard to balance cost, time and vision.

Tell me about your honeymoon.
S: It was wonderfully relaxing! We went to Maui, ate delicious food, laid on the beach, and enjoyed each other’s company without worrying about anything else that needed to be done.

Eric and Sara, your wedding day was like a dream! SUCH a privilege to get to be a part of this moment! Love you guys!! XO!! DSC_2060_WEB
