I met Jeff & Carla a few weeks ago when they were visiting our church. While visiting with them, I discovered that they were newly engaged, getting married this August and moving quite a ways north from us after their wedding. You know what my first thought was?? “Oh, bummer you won’t live here…we could have been friends…” My husband, ever the salesman, met them a bit later and you know what his first thought was? “Do you need a photographer??”

Internet…I’m just gonna say it…I am horrible at self promotion. And Cary…. well… he’s AWESOME at talking to anyone and everyone about SugarBowl Photography. I’m so thankful for his faith in me and my abilities…because, truly, if it weren’t for him, this thing never would have gotten off the ground!

Anyway, it turns out they DID need a photographer for their fast approaching wedding. And I also found out that they were speeding to their nuptials so they didn’t have to wait an additional year to be together…oh the romance… 🙂 And! They’ve been to our church since and we had SO much fun at their engagement session…so…chances are…we’ll get to be friends anyway! 🙂

Carla has a great laugh…it’s full and contagious and after our session, I would bet it’s one of Jeff’s favorite things.

We seriously spent most of the session laughing…love that. 🙂 So much so that I’m going to include a few outtakes… Jeff was doing facial exercises between shots…

Carla and Jeff brought the flowers along to incorporate the yellow that they will be using in their wedding… as soon as our session ended those flowers became a weapon! So funny! 🙂
