Nick loves Jessica | Hotel Boulderado Wedding

Nick and Jessica’s Hotel Boulderado wedding was a change up from our typical summer wedding, and it was so refreshing! These two did such an amazing job of pulling vintage charm into every bit of their day!

I adore first looks!
These quiet moments, starting their day together, are some of my favorite from Jessica and Nick’s day.
Love, love, love these shots Cary grabbed!

♥ ♥ ♥
After wandering around the Boulderado neighborhood, we headed over to Chataqua park for a bit of epic Colorado beauty.

Then it was ceremony time!! Nick and Jessica held their ceremony on the landing of the front stairs with their guests looking down from above. I loved how intimate it felt!

And I LOVED Jessica’s gown!!

Oh my goodness!! Their cake was a piece of art.
Nick is a pretty avid cyclist, and they searched high and low for just the right cake topper…this one was PERFECT!!
You two are adorable together.
To keep the vintage theme going, once dinner wrapped up the casino tables opened. This party was fun for everyone!!

Nick & Jessica | In their own words…

How did the two of you meet?
We were both recent transplants to Colorado and only knew a few people in the Denver area so we decided to try online dating.  Within a few months, we had our first date at Paris on the Platte for some coffee, ended up catch a Rockies game, and then went out for drinks afterward and never looked back!

Funniest memory from your day?
Jess’ grandma playing Roulette was great!  She had never played before, but ended up winning big at the Casino.  When we were making our rounds we stopped by and she had the biggest smile on her face and the table was crowded with people that were just following her plays on every round.  When we came around again later, right after she went to bed, the table was completely empty; apparently it just wasn’t the same without Grandma Doris.

What was your favorite detail?
Our favorite detail of the wedding was definitely the cake.  It brought the whole night together and embodied everything that we love about Colorado with the mountains, trees, and amazing Bride & Groom cycling topper against the background of the Boulderado’s stained glass ceiling!

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
No, not at all.  Everything went off perfectly, the hotel and decorations were gorgeous, the reception staff was brilliant, the Casino/ DJ thrilled the guests, the photographers were amazing, the guests had a blast, and we were thrilled with every detail.

Any advice for future brides and grooms?
Explore non-traditional reception options.  We are still hearing form people about how much fun our wedding reception was with the Casino night.

Tell me about your honeymoon.
We flew out to Jamaica the day after the wedding for 6 days at an all-inclusive resort.  It was just what we needed after all the planning and the final week leading up to the wedding.  We spent our time kayaking in the ocean, swimming, relaxing, and eating too much.  The best part of the honeymoon, however, was the second night at the resort for which we booked a private, candlelight dinner on the beach.  It was probably the first truly quiet moment we had to ourselves in months and we were finally able to breath, talk, and remember exactly why we wanted to get married in the first place.

Nick and Jessica, what a privilege it was to be a part of your amazing wedding day!! Thank you for including us!! ♥
