Jeffery loves Kylie | Castle Rock Wedding Photographer

I’ve been excited all year for this wedding! I met Kylie and her mom, Alicia, last year at Lydia’s wedding. They’re friends of Lydia’s family and were doing the flowers for the wedding. My encounter with these two beauties was a short one, but their joy and kindness marked my memory of them (not to mention their gorgeous work), so when Alicia let me know Kylie was getting married and they wanted me to be a part, I was over the moon!! Jeff and Kylie are some of the kindest souls, and this day did not disappoint.

All week the weather here had been crazy, and the day of the wedding was cold and drizzly right from the start…I didn’t know it then, but this has been a running theme for my weddings this year… The news forecasted an 80% chance of ALL DAY rain. Big boo, because Crooked Willow Farms is such a GORGEOUS property, and while their indoor option is super cool, it just wasn’t what Jeff and Kylie had hoped for. It rained all morning, but then, just like a miracle, the skies started to clear and 45 minutes before the wedding was to start the forecast changed for the better and the AMAZING vendor team worked together to quickly go back to Plan A. And it was PERFECTION.

Kylie, you were absolutely stunning!!
MARRIED!! Seriously though, how CUTE are they!???This wedding party was beyond fantastic!! I seriously LOVE this venue!! SO many gorgeous spots right on property. Makes my job easy!

Jeff & Kylie | In their own words…

How did the two of you meet?
We met for the first time in July of 2013 at an adult Bible study through Parker Bible Church. Jeff was interested from the start, but it took him a year and a half to convince Kylie that she should give him a chance and go on a date. The rest is now history.

What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Kylie: My favorite memory would have to be the wedding ceremony. It was so special and I was so happy marry Jeff and say our vows to each other with all our friends and family there to witness. A close second would be being with Jeff out on the dance floor, and see him break out of his shell a little bit!
Jeffery: The ceremony for sure, especially waiting to finally see Kylie and her beautiful self as she walked down the aisle. I also enjoyed all of the toasts and hearing what some of our favorite people had to say to/about us.

Funniest memory from your day?
Kylie: Probably when the DJ announced the father daughter dance and my dad was no where in sight. I was standing there alone and then he came running in, typical of my dad!
Jeffery: Thinking Kylie was about to faint during the ceremony when she was only trying to maneuver herself so her face wasn’t in the sun.

What was your favorite detail?
Kylie: I loved all the little details but my favorite would have to be my bouquet. My mom spent so much time making the flowers beautiful and my bouquet was so perfect.
Jeffery: Our vows, we wrote them ourselves. There were pictures of each of us at each table during the reception and the table number corresponded to how old we were in the picture.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Kylie: Nope! It was such a great night!
Jeffery: No

Any advice for future brides and grooms?
Kylie: Enjoy the time with all your friends and family! It’s so fun and rare to have everyone there together to share the best night of your life with, it goes by so quickly. Also, spend time together thinking through and personalizing the ceremony so you have extra special things to look back on.
Jeffery: Don’t get too caught up in the details and pressure culture puts on you to make your day a certain way. Instead plan to find ways to spend time with friends and family. Find ways to personalize the day.

Tell me about your honeymoon.
We had a low-key honeymoon in San Diego. We had a good mix of seeing some sights and relaxing by the pool/at the beach.

Jeff and Kylie, what a joy it was to witness you to say “I do”!! Thanks for making us a part of your beginning!!
