Sam loves Madison | Colorado Wedding Photographer

Sam & Madi met and became best friends during high school. Following high school, Madi joined the Navy and Sam joined the Marines, and somehow, by what can only be described as a miracle, they got stationed in the SAME place, allowing their love for each other to truly flourish. So when they decided they wanted to get married, Madi’s family surrounded them and planned the most perfect Christmas wedding to be held while they were home on leave. What an amazingly sweet wedding day this was to photograph!!

Madi found her GORGEOUS wedding dress just days before her wedding and it was perfection!!

The snow added to the beauty and Christmas-y theme of the day.
And Sam’s reaction during their first look takes the cake!! I think even he was surprised with how overwhelmed he felt with love for Madi. It was the most precious scene.

The girls braved the cold and the WET snow around their feet. They were so nice to me! And we worked quickly!!

Sam & Madi | In their own words…

How did the two of you meet?
M: We met in high school through mutual friends. He was always a ladies’ man. All the girls wanted to date him. We became best friends and it just flourished into this lovey-dovey relationship we have now.

What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
M: I loved dancing with Sam. It allowed me to learn Sam isn’t afraid to bustamove in front of all of my friends and relatives. It just made me more excited to be with him forever.
S: Seeing how beautiful she looked when I first saw Madi. It really did strike home that I knew I was so blessed to spend the rest of my life with her. My other favorite memory was that night checking into the hotel. She was so funny, talking to the lady at the desk about our room situation. I got that feeling all over again because she’s not only the woman I get to spend the rest of my life with, but my best friend.

Funniest memory from your day?
M: I’d have to say my dad and grandpa dancing!! That was ridiculously funny but honestly they both have some pretty smooth moves. Oooh! Or how everyone had blue lips and tongues because they were all drinking red wine. 🙂 OH or that I told Sam I would love him till the end of tomorrow… That takes the cake!

What was your favorite detail?
M: My wedding dress, duh. But I have to give it up to the entire setting. My mom, Andrew, my dad, and my mom’s lovely friend, Michelle, made the decorations Pinterest perfect!! I couldn’t have dreamed of having a cuter wedding. It fit my vision exactly!
S: I don’t know if I have a favorite detail, but I know my favorite thing about it was how amazing her family was with all of the help they gave us, setting this up and doing this for us, and making it so amazing and making it such beautiful day. I really couldn’t be more blessed with such an amazing family.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
M: Not a single thing. Actually, I’d make it a three day event so I could wear my dress for longer.
S: I wouldn’t change a thing. Everything happened the way it was supposed toad it was the greatest day of my life.

Any advice for future brides and grooms?
M: Allow your awesome mom to plan everything! The whole wedding was stress free… Also, I really enjoyed how intimate our ceremony and reception was. Keep the guest list full of people who understand what the wedding is all about.

Tell me about your honeymoon.
M: No honeymoon yet, but I am sure it’ll be a awesome adventure. Sam makes everything fun.
S:
We haven’t gone on our honeymoon yet, but I’m sure it will be just as blissful as every day I get to spend with Madi is.
