A few weeks ago, I had the honor and privilege of flying out to California to witness and photograph my younger brother’s wedding to one of my very favorite girls…and even better, they are moving here! 🙂 Today, in fact!! YAY!  Anyway, back to the purpose of this post… You may remember these two from when I photographed their engagement shoot back in May. They were married in Yosemite National Forrest at the Tenaya Lodge. It’s really a gorgeous property. They had planned to marry on the balcony outside, but wouldn’t you know that snow was forecasted for their big day. The wedding was moved inside, but it was beautiful and perfect nonetheless. I have TONS of pictures to share, so this is going to be a two part sneak peek.
I’m really proud of Nathaniel and Lauren and am so thankful to have each of them in my life. I love you guys! Enjoy! 🙂
I was really impressed with Lauren on the morning of the wedding…I’m sure she was stressed, but she sure didn’t show it! She also was so good at planning out the day…there was even time to sit and relax here and there and plenty of extra time to regroup and take a deep breath between pictures and the wedding.
I just love getting to be a part of the whole getting ready process. There is always such anticipation for what’s to come, and I love getting to see the interaction between a bride and her girls. 🙂
Awe! How cute is Lauren’s Daddy…these pictures were taken just like this… I took a picture of Lauren, and then turned and took a picture of her Dad…you can just tell how much he adores her. Jack & Maria, I hear there are houses for sale in Colorado. 😉
Looking pretty debonair, Nathaniel 🙂
Lauren and Nathaniel decided to do a “First Look” to start their day together. I LOVE first looks! You’re always going to have that special moment when a bride walks down the aisle, but their is just something incredibly awesome about a groom getting to see his bride for the first time and have a moment together before anyone else is around. Melts my heart.
The snow hadn’t started yet, so we decided to take advantage of the (freezing) outdoors while we still could. The fog rolled in while we were shooting, but I kind of like it. 🙂
Swoon…
Down below the balcony, a car was blaring dance music… you know…the kind that shakes your windows when the loud car drives by…a whole block away… so, my brother, in his best form, danced. 🙂 Lauren has this awesome laugh that comes from deep within her…Nathaniel brings it out in her, and I adore it. 🙂
The rest will come tomorrow…so stay tuned! 🙂
