Cole loves Betsy | Spruce Mountain Wedding Photographer

What a completely perfect day this was!! Cole and Betsy got married at Spruce Mountain Ranch. I LOVE this venue! It’s rustic and beautiful and has everything in one place with several ceremony options. And their staff is fantastic to work with! Every time I’m here, it just feels like perfection!

And seriously now. How gorgeous is Betsy!? Betsy has twin sisters (here on the right) and it’s a big year for this family! Sarah (on the right) is having her first baby later this year, and Abby (on the left) is getting married in December and I get photograph it! So you’ll definitely be seeing more of these beauties around here!
This wedding party was AWESOME.

See what I mean about this venue?Man I love weddings.
I was so glad that we were able to that gorgeous sunset light before heading into the reception. And this reception…it was a PARTY! SO MUCH FUN!!!
Cole and Betsy, what a beautiful, fun, joy-filled day this was!! Wishing you so much love!!

Cole & Betsy | In their own words…

How did the two of you meet?
Betsy: We met in Grand Junction as I was finishing my nursing degree, and he was teaching a gun fighting class all week. I was bartending and he and his friends came in every night and sat with me. I mentioned that “someone” smelled good, and the rest is history.

What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Betsy: I can’t imagine one single moment, but seeing cole trying to sneak a peek before I walked down the aisle was so special, and seeing all of our closest friends and family together was so special.
Cole: Betsy walking down the aisle, he was sick of waiting all day and was ready for her to be his wife.

Funniest memory from your day?
Betsy: The song that our parents and aunts and uncles sang us. We knew they were up to something, but had no idea we were going to be serenaded in the middle of our reception!
Cole: The reception and dancing was so much fun. My little nieces were breaking down the dance floor to “Baby Got Back.”

What was your favorite detail?
Betsy: Our matching Mr and Mrs Vans sneakers were fun to wear at the reception and something special we wore on our honeymoon.
Cole: Betsy didn’t tell me what songs she chose for the recessional, and bride and groom introductions, “Highway to Hell,” and “Real Gs”and that cracked me up.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
We wouldn’t change one thing! Our wedding was so perfect!

Any advice for future brides and grooms?
Betsy: Revel in the moment. Enjoy the process and stress and let those around you take care of the details for you, it goes by so fast!
Cole: Wedding planners are lifesavers!

Tell me about your honeymoon.
We went to Riviera Maya in Mexico! It was so relaxing and beautiful. We enjoyed being “The Burdette’s.” It was so much fun and nice to be done planning a wedding.
