It’s been unseasonably warm in the city this year! We’ve had record snow in the mountains and record high temps down here. It’s been crazy! But I’ve kind of loved it, and it’s made me SO excited for spring and photo season to ramp up again… I know, I know, March through May tends to bring a TON of fluffy white stuff…I’m not naive…but still. SO excited for this year’s photography fun! And this year, we got to kick off wedding season early with Brendan and Jessica’s amazingly sweet January wedding! We were hoping for a snowy Saturday, but alas….it was not to be. Colorado proved to be gorgeous in any season, though! I just love where we live! Brendan and Jessica decided to get married at their church, The Rock, where it all began.

Faith is so at the center of who these two are. Even though they planned a first look (which is SO smart with a winter wedding where the sun sets so early in the day), they wanted to start with a quiet moment praying together.
And their first look…gah, I just LOVE how completely enamored these two are with each other. 
Seriously. It’s like the sun shines brighter.
Their ceremony was unbelievably sweet. Jessica’s precious boy, Eli, played around their feet as they pledged theirselves to each other. Then Brendan took a special moment to talk to Eli, telling him that he had chosen him, just as he had chosen Jessica. I might have cried.
You guys…these are the fields behind the church. AYKM!? Such a perfect, easy backdrop for their winter wedding portraits! Who needs snow, anyway!?

How did the two of you meet?
We met at our church! We were friends first, but time after time, God just kept showing us that He wanted us together.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Praying together before the ceremony and Brendan’s vows to Elijah
Funniest memory from your day?
Eli playing on the stage during the ceremony!
What was your favorite detail?
My favorite detail was that we just kept looking at each other and saying, “You’re my best friend.” Everything we did made us remember and appreciate that.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
I wouldn’t change a thing. It was beautiful and real.

Tell me about your honeymoon.
We went to 16th Street Mall in Denver for a couple days. We had such a fun time exploring and just being together.
