Late last November, Jake and Alisha gathered their nearest and dearest to witness the beginning of their marriager. These two were amazing at holding tight to the things most important to them. They cherished their tender moments together, celebrated the amazingness of their wedding day with the ones they loved most and promised forever to one another.
I loved the simplicity of Alisha’s gorgeous rose gold jewelry! Her necklace held the latitude and longitude of where they said “I do”. Jake is a pilot, so they tied this part of their lives into the details of their wedding. How cool is that!?
Alisha’s ring is just stunning!
Wedding time!!
I love how he looks at her!!
Jake and Alisha love to cook, so for their unity ceremony, they decided to layer spices to symbolize the blending of their hearts and lives.

Jake & Alisha | In their own words…
How did the two of you meet?
Jake: In our Environmental Science class in college. Funny enough, neither of us needed this class to fulfill our major.
Alisha: We were put in the same group for a class project. He asked for my number on the last day of class; which I was really happy about because I hadn’t gotten the courage to ask for his!
What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
J: The entire ceremony.
A: The ceremony was definitely one of the most memorable aspects of the day. My favorite memory of the ceremony will always be seeing Jake and how emotional he was, as I walked down the aisle.
Funniest memory from your day?
J: When Zach (brother and best man) called Alisha his step-sister during his toast.
A: Hearing both Zach and Brie’s (my sister and maid of honor) speeches because it was fun to hear them share their funny stories of us.
What was your favorite detail?
J: Just seeing everyone that we care about come together and be there for our day.
A: I really liked our unity ceremony. Even though we had the idea planned out to incorporate the spices, I wasn’t really sure how it would pan out. I was really happy with the way it turned out, and I love that it represents something that Jake and I enjoy doing together. It’s a great reminder of that day and something we can always cherish.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
No, nothing. There were quite a few aspects of the day that didn’t go as planned, but the things that really mattered were perfect. We both had an incredible, memorable and happy day, and that’s what matters most.
Any advice for future brides and grooms?
Try and savor every moment of the day because it truly goes by SO fast. Everyone says that, but you don’t believe it until it’s your day that has come and gone. Enjoy every moment, even the ones that don’t go as planned.
Tell me about your honeymoon.
We went to Maui for 8 days. The weather and water were not ideal, but we made the most of it by exploring the island as much as we could. We went to different beaches, walked around various towns and hiked remote and tourist-filled areas. We indulged in amazing food and just enjoyed spending time together, without any interruptions. It was pretty hard to come back to reality and we still really miss it!
