David loves Libby | Colorado Wedding

I loved getting to photograph this wedding. It was a lot like being among family…huge (I have a HUGE family, so I felt right at home), fun, lots of laughter and stolen quiet moments….these two were really good at finding those quiet stolen moments in the middle of everything.

I adore you guys! <3

How cute is little miss!?

Libby and her Daddy. 🙂 He was over the moon the WHOLE day!!
Charlie!! 🙂 Libby rode in on Charlie. And he was a perfect pro.

David & Libby

How did the two of you meet?
D&LWe met when Libby was in college. She was friends with a cousin of Dave’s and when the group of girls came to Greeley, they met. 🙂 Inseparable since!

What was your favorite memory from your wedding day?
L: When I walked up to the aisle on my horse, Charlie. I felt like such a princess and could see my groom to be, (who looked immensely anxious) and knew this was the beginning of a new life. 🙂 It was surreal.
D: Dancing in front of the crowd with my bride. I loved twirling her around, it was something we’ve done a million times before, but this time was the first time as man and wife.

Funniest memory from your wedding day?
D&L: Getting a miniature donkey for a wedding gift. Topped the charts, no questions asked!

What was your favorite detail?
D&L: The relaxed theme. Favorite detail was the easy going environment and sharing such a special occasion with close friends and family.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
D&L: Perhaps last a bit longer. Unfortunately, we had to catch a plane at DIA and jet out of there. (No pun intended.)

Any advice for future brides and grooms?
D&L: All you really need is the bride, groom, rings and the preacher or minister! 🙂 That’s all you really need, everything else is just frosting. 🙂

Tell me about your honeymoon.
D&L: We went to Sicily, Italy! 😀  For two home-grown country folk, it was quite an experience. No, it was not your traditional tropical honeymoon. However, Libby was adamant about being a world traveler and insisted they go somewhere that was not on or around the North American continent. They decided to go to the tip of the boot in Europe. Whether it was getting kicked out of a cab at 2 o’clock in the morning in the middle of a darkened alley way, or trying to get used to driving in a little Fiat Panda, we held hands through every experience. There are not too many people who spoke English. We arrived on Sunday and did not have one conversation in English until Thursday. Even then, the conversation was with an English couple who lived in Lancaster, England. We met so many interesting people and  truly became immersed in a completely foreign culture. Throughout the experience, we learned how to strengthen our bond by depending on each other.
